General Rules

Since no list of rules can be all inclusive, students are expected to understand the governing principles of acceptable behavior.

The character and conduct of each student to a great extent determines the spiritual and learning environment of the school. Respect for self, others, and property is the guiding principle to govern student behavior (Matthew 22:27-40).

The following are examples of self respect:

  1. Maintain a clean, modest, and appropriate appearance.
  2. Refrain from intentionally injuring oneself.
  3. Exert an effort that is appropriate for one's age abilities.

The following are examples of respect for others:

  1. Protect the learning rights of others.
  2. Refrain from intentionally injuring others; physically, spiritually, socially, or emotionally (see Harassment and Violence Policy, page 10).
  3. Behave in an appropriate manner concerning intimacy.

The following are examples of respect for property:

  1. Keep one's own personal property neat and orderly.
  2. Don't invade other's privacy.
  3. Refrain from destroying personal or public property.
