General Rules
Since no list of rules can be all inclusive, students are expected to understand the governing principles of acceptable behavior.
The character and conduct of each student to a great extent determines the spiritual and learning environment of the school. Respect for self, others, and property is the guiding principle to govern student behavior (Matthew 22:27-40).
The following are examples of self respect:
- Maintain a clean, modest, and appropriate appearance.
- Refrain from intentionally injuring oneself.
- Exert an effort that is appropriate for one's age abilities.
The following are examples of respect for others:
- Protect the learning rights of others.
- Refrain from intentionally injuring others; physically, spiritually, socially, or emotionally (see Harassment and Violence Policy, page 10).
- Behave in an appropriate manner concerning intimacy.
The following are examples of respect for property:
- Keep one's own personal property neat and orderly.
- Don't invade other's privacy.
- Refrain from destroying personal or public property.
