IF ANYONE USES WORDS OR ACTIONS THAT MAKE YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE OR FEARFUL, YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR TEACHER, YOUR PASTOR OR ANOTHER RESPONSIBLE ADULT. YOUR RIGHT TO PRIVACY WILL BE RESPECTED AS MUSCH AS POSSIBLE.


Prohibition Against Harassment and Violence Policy


Stone Ridge Christian School is committed to providing a school environment free from harassment and violence for all students. Everyone at our school has the right to feel respected and safe.

A harasser may be anyone, student or adult. Examples of harassment may include but are not limited to the following when related to religion, race, disability, age, ethnicity, or gender:

  • name calling, inappropriate jokes. insults, slurs, or rumors
  • threatening notes or cartoons
  • unwelcome touching of a person or one's clothing
  • offensive or graphic printed material
  • any words or actions that make an individual feel uncomfortable, embarrassed or emotionally or physically threatened

Students or employees who engage in harassment or violent acts on school premises or off school premises at a school sponsored activity will be subject to appropriate discipline, including suspension/expulsion, or in the case of an employee, job termination. The school's normal disciplinary procedures will be followed in determining the appropriate consequence for the harassment. In the event the administration recommends suspension or expulsion as a result of the harassment or violence, due process will be afforded to the student in accordance with the school's policy (see Disciplinary Due Process Policy page 8).

 

VIOLENCE TOWARDS OTHERS. AS WELL AS, HARASSMENT WHETHER IT BE RELIGIOUS, RACIAL, DISABILITY, AGE, SEXUAL, ETHNIC OR GENDER RELATED IS AGAINST THE LAW.
